Before they leave
Onboarding checklist.
What the walk looks for.
Seven things a first-time signup walk looks for. The list is the short version. The walk is the one that opens your URL.
Then walk it
A checklist cannot see your screens. The AI onboarding audit opens the URL and walks it.

The checks
1Price shown before signup
A signup screen with no price and no free trial is noted. Impatient will not fill the form to go and find what it costs. The fix puts the price beside the button.
2Field count
Email, and a password if you ask for one, are enough to start. Company size, role, phone, use case, and other required fields are extra. Impatient notes the first extra field. A required one ranks higher.
3Password rules
A password field with no rules on the screen is a miss. Length, a number, a capital letter: those rules should sit beside the field before the first try, and tick off as someone types.
4Jargon
Workspace, seat, SSO, SAML, tenant, and provisioning are flagged in a headline or a field label. A login button named Google, Microsoft, or SSO is not jargon. The fix is a plain phrase.
5Card walls
A card number, expiry, or security code stops the walk. Impatient does not type a card. The report says the stop was payment.
6Verification steps
A code field, or copy that says to check your email or use a magic link, stops the walk before the product. A human check stops it too.
7Mobile tap targets
The free walk opens a desktop window, so it does not measure thumb reach or tap size. Mobile thumb is locked. In the saved sample, that persona loses Continue below the fold, under the keyboard. The check is named here so it is not forgotten. It is not part of the free walk yet.
The first six follow the free Impatient walk. Mobile tap targets wait with the locked persona. The signup prompt is the longer version of the same job: sign up as a new user, and list the top five fixes. The steps for doing that by hand are the new-user signup test. Asking for the password twice is on confirm password. Which fields to cut is on signup fields. What the first screen should say is on signup page copy. A button that stays disabled is on signup button. Password rules before submit are on password rules. Asking for a work email is on work email. A provider button above the email is on social login.
